The Equali Series is designed for small ensembles of equal instruments ( the number of parts varies according to the piece). The standard required is not too demanding, making these pieces suitable for younger musicians but with some level of experience.

Two copies of each part are supplied along with a score.

Little BIG Band is designed to give young brass & wind players a first experience of playing in the jazz/big band swing idiom.
Instrumentation is the same as for our Junior Springboard Series, easily allowing a mixture of brass & wind instruments. The C Treble Soprano part is optional as it either doubles the melody line or provides an optional descant line. (It is particularly suitable for allowing flute or recorder players to join in.) The Eb Bass part is also optional, mostly doubling the Bb Tenor Melody part where appropriate. All lower parts are provided in C Concert as well as for transposing instruments. The Alto part is provided in Eb, Bb and F.
Percussion parts are kept very simple, only requiring the minimum of classroom instruments.
Grade B titles require players on the lead parts to be at approximately Grade 3 ABRSM. The Treble 2 part, however, also allows players with much less experience to take part.
Grade A titles require players on the lead parts to be at approximately Grade 4/5 ABRSM. Again, less experienced players will be able to manage the Treble 2 part.

The Springboard Series is suitable for all training ensembles with parts designed for very inexperienced players, together with more challenging parts for the lead players in the group. Ideal for mixed abilities.
They are also suitable for non-contesting Brass Bands, particularly those with limited numbers.

The basic scores are for a small Brass Band :

The Junior Springboard Series is suitable for young ensembles with parts designed for beginners, together with more challenging parts (up to maximum ABRSM Grade 2) for the lead players in the group. Ideal for mixed abilities.
The C Treble Soprano part is optional as it either doubles the melody line or provides an optional descant line, but it does allow recorder or flute players to take part.
Similarly, the Eb Bass part is optional as it doubles the Bb Tenor Melody line where appropriate, simply to offer more depth.
Any percussion parts only require the minimum of classroom percussion instruments.
